Listen. I am as stubborn as you are.
Please don’t bother me with the so-called spiritual babble of ascended masters and cute stories of someone else’s Star Wars fantasy of cosmic energies. If I can’t touch, see, smell or stub my toe on something, it ain’t there, and I am not willing to participate in the psycho-surgery that it would take for me to make the leap into taking on some self-serving mumbo-jumbo that purports to serve up the Answer. And you shouldn’t either.
But being the stubborn little Monkeys that we are, there is something inside of us that restlessly looks for the one easy unifying Answer to what is going on here.
Accepting that being our condition let’s start with a little inspired straight-line logic.
The classic definition of infinity from Merriam-Webster is the “unlimited extent of time, space, or quantity”. The Universe is infinite. Just look up into the night-time sky. Time is infinite. There is always a Before and there will always be an After. It is easy to see that we are surrounded by Infinity. Infinity exists.
Infinity, being boundless, includes everything that we can see, touch, feel and more, including, say, the possibility of people falling off of planets every once in a while because of gravity failure. However that doesn’t happen, so something else has to be in the mix. If things did not follow some sort of discernable underlying operating principle, then the resulting chaos of patchy gravity, electrons and atoms falling apart or clumping together haphazardly, electrical impulses flowing intermittently, and so on would result in the very quick destruction of everything.
Nothing could exist, and Infinity would be irrelevant because there would be nothing left to be infinite. Without some underlying operating principle, everything would be, perforce, finite.
You and I are still here so it is obvious that Infinity exists albeit with some limitations. But how could Infinity be infinite if the only way it could exist is if it is limited in some way? Ask this question. What is half of Infinity? Infinity. A quarter of Infinity is… Infinity. If we took a millionth portion of Infinity and threw the rest away that tiny portion would still be infinite. And so on. Infinity is still Infinity even if it looks like you are leaving something out! Simple.
The move to keep the Universe from becoming finite through Choas had to be a deliberate act to say “No” to inconsistency and destruction. It was no accident. If there had been the slightest deviation from that deliberate action we would not be here in any form to talk about it. With whom or how this action originated is a deep mystery, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. However we can discern a central attribute of that action.
The action taken to keep the Universe from becoming finite through Choas was an act of Love. Indeed, Unconditional Love is the only thing that can stitch this whole thing together, and keep it together. The slightest bit of wavering in that unconditionality will bring down the whole She-Bang like a house of cards in less than a nano second.
It is easy to see how Love is interweaved everywhere, in the birds singing, the trees having leaves that give us oxygen, in the Sun coming up at just the right time and setting at just the right time, the Moon influencing the tides just right, in all these things that propagate, and feed each other, and on and on and on. Love is woven through all of it and is our evidence that a benevolent Consciousness is on the job, so that we can count on gravity and air and water and fire to deliver all that we need to continue.
Why would any Consciousness bother, benevolent or not? Stop. Find a baby, and look into its eyes.
Love loves looking at Love. Love loves Love. Simple.
